Features to know about

Handle Everyday Hauling: Class I Strength with 2,000 lbs GTW and 200 lbs TW

This Class I hitch gives you just the right amount of pulling power for small trailers, cargo carriers, or bike racks. With a 2,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 200-lb tongue weight rating, it’s built for light-duty towing without overkill. The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening is perfect for compact accessories you already own or plan to add later.

Simplify the Install: Custom Fit, Bolt-On Design

You don’t need a welder or lift to get this hitch mounted. It’s custom-fit and bolts directly to the vehicle frame using existing mounting points, so there’s no drilling or welding involved. The included hardware kit and instructions make the process straightforward for anyone tackling a DIY install in the driveway.

Count on Long-Term Durability: Fully Welded Steel with Gloss Black Powder Coat

The hitch body is made from fully welded steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance. That layer of protection helps it look good and stay solid, even after years of exposure to road grime and weather. The square-tube design keeps things simple and sturdy.

Keep Your Setup Versatile: Works with Drawbars, Cargo Carriers, and Bike Racks

Whether you’re towing a small trailer or adding extra storage for a trip, the receiver works with standard 1-1/4" drawbars (sold separately). It’s also an easy match for compatible cargo carriers or bike racks when you need more space for gear. This hitch gives you options without taking up room when not in use.

Product arrived on time and I had it installed the next day. It looks and works great!

by:

been working great, no problems.

by:

PRODUCT, PRICE, SERVICE VERY GOOD

by:

Quick delivery, good price and easy ins tallation!

by:

Solid product, fast shipping and pretty easy to install. All around good experience.

by:

Ordered the hitch on Wednesday afternoon, it was on my door-step by Friday morning and installed by my mechanic by Friday at noon.

Great service, the hitch seems to fit well.

by:

The tow hitch for my 2007 Saab 9-3 fit perfect and bolted right on my car. Easy instructions, prompt responses and ship.

by:

Product was as advertised. Installation was easier than first thought. Product performance has been great

by:

Very nice hitch and easy to install. I purchased this for my girlfriends son to take his bike when he moved.

by:

The Curt hitch for my 2004 Saab 9/3 fit well, did not hurt ground clearance, and was a good choice.

by:

Lightning quick shipping. Put on the next day
and was pretty easy, though I recommend watching
the youtube video. There is another facia under
the car that I didn't see on the video, just an FYI-
you may have to remove or cut an access panel trough.
Great product and Thanks for the quick shipping!

by:

Install went smoothly, the hitch seems to be made of quality materials and of good design. My only concern is with the stabilization strap required when transporting bicycles, etc.. if this is required, why not include it instead of charging more for it as a separate purchase? Also, the straps I looked at will definitely ruin the paint on the trunk of my car as they vibrate while driving. This isn’t an acceptable solution to the problem, because it will damage my car.

by:

Product was delivered timely and in good condition. The only suggestion that I have would be for etrailer to remind purchaser that it doesn't include the drawbar (ball mount) and suggest the options for that purchase. It was easy to get locally so it didn't cause and holdup.

by:

I haven't installed it yet. I did however, receive it very promptly along with the Thule bike rack. UPS ruffed up the trailer hitch box to the point that both ends where hanging out of the box. The holes were so big I was concerned that the hardware may be missing. To my surprise, the hardware was securely taped to the hitch. I'll be installing today after work. Yes I will do business with this company again.

by:

Goated hitch. Super easy to bolt on. I've had it a year and no issues so far, still as tight as the day I installed it. Also love the low profile look it has compared to other hitches.

by:

Product arrived super fast (ordered on Monday, arrived on Wednesday)! Installed over the weekend in 1hr 15 mins (including setup and cleanup). Fit on my 2005 Saab 9-3 sedan perfectly. Hardest part was cutting out the plastic bumper fascia to clear the hitch. Haven't actually used it yet, but it feels solid and I don't have any concerns about its stability. I'm just using it for a hitch-mounted bike rack, so I didn't get into wiring a trailer harness.

by:

The trailer hitches I purchased arrived promptly and were of quality construction. Unfortunately, none of the hitches I tried will fit the Saab 93 Aero Sedan due to the dual exhaust system on this vehicle. The Aero has all the correct hitch points (mounting holes and flange on the bumper, and weld nuts in the chassis under the spare tire well, but the weld nut locations on the Aero are an inch closer to the rear bumper than they are on the Sport Combi Wagon with dual exhaust. Regardless, etrailer.com was great in their customer support in trying to find a hitch that would work, and in supplying the return documentation. I would use them again!

by:

Product and installation hardware is of high quality. It is designed to fit my car and my mechanic said it fit perfectly with no trouble, putting receiver face at the correct spot. Went with etrailer because they bothered to post a video showing installation on my model of car... a Saab, no less. Go try finding people who care that much about Saabs anymore; it's tough. ;- ) Plus, receiver has strong rings to hook bungee cords. Happy all around.

by:

The hitch was perfect. My mechanic installed it in less than an hour. I’ve used it mostly for my bikes, but did use a trailer with great results.

The hitch is still working as good as new. I use it weekly for my bikes.

by:

Trailer hitch fit fine, however the dimensions for the fascia cutout are off by about 3/8" on the passenger side. The video could give more details about tricks to mount the bolts under the fascia as they were pretty difficult to get in. Otherwise all was good.

Hitch has been good, no corrosion from NJ and Vermont winters

Well made product, could use better diagrams in installation instruction. Very happy with great fit! Awesome customer service (Anna D.), and helpful installation video from etrailer!! + lowest price, standard shipping took only 3days!

You guys checking up on the product after a year? Thats an awesome customer service! I am still very happy with the product! I checked on some other products elsewhere online but etrailer has the best price and many helpful videos, too!

by:

The hitch was easy to install and looks like a custom hitch. I'm very happy with it.

by:

The trailer hitch went on very easy & was used that day . I will definitely be recommending etrailer to anyone wanting to install a trailer hitch on a vehicle.

by:

Product shipped when they said it would with the best packaging of any large / heavy product I've ever received.

I went with etrailer.com over the competition because they actually had an installation video that gave me the confidence to handle the installation myself.

Installed the hitch and was out riding my bike the next day.

  • 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero with Dual Exhaust Trailer Hitch Compatibility
If your 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero is the Sportcombi with dual exhaust, you will need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # C11140. If you don't have the Sportcombi model then there is not currently a fit for your dual exhaust model. The # C11326 which is a fit for the sedan and convertible models is not a fit for SportCombi models or models with dual exhaust.

  • Differences Between CURT Hitches # 11415 and # 11326
I spoke with my contact at CURT and he pointed out to me that the difference between the CURT Hitch # 11415 and # 11326 is the way the plate behind the hitch opening mounts to the bumper beam tab. On the # 11415 the plate on the hitch will go in front of the bumper beam tab, whereas the plate from the # 11326 will install behind the bumper beam tab. Check out the picture I attached that shows both of these hitches next to each other so you can see the differences. I also attached installation...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier for 2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11326 is the only available trailer hitch for a 2007 Saab 9-3 Convertible so that is what you'll want to use. It does not require any drilling for installation. The 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145 would then be a prefect option for this to carry luggage.

  • Class II Trailer Hitch Availability for 2007 Saab 9-3
We do offer the Curt # C11326 for the 2007 Saab 9-3, including the sedan and convertible. This is a fit unless it has dual-exhaust or a SportCombi model. However, this is a light-duty Class I hitche. We offer no Class II hitches for your vehicle. To a degree the development of hitches for vehicles will be based on the vehicle's capacity, in your case a quoted 3500-lb towing capacity. Certainly, a vehicle with such towing capacity would seem to merit a Class II hitch option. Unfortunately,...

  • Does Car have to be Jacked Up to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2007 Saab 9-3
You would not have to jack up your 2007 Saab 9-3 to install Curt trailer hitch # C11326. But it will make it a whole lot easier if you did. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a video showing an example install for you. If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. Curt...

I've attached both the instructions as well as an install video to this page for you to take a look at. The install is considered a 7 out of 10 difficulty by Curt so it is more labor intensive than some but it can be performed by someone who has mechanical skills and proper tools. I'll take a look at the pictures and can forward them to Curt, but I know what Curt is going to say. They will state that you are trying to install a hitch designed for the wagon version of the 2006 Saab 9-3 (the SportCombi) and you have a sedan which calls for the hitch # C11326. Is there a reason you didn't want to go with the # C11326? Our hitch manufacturers will avoid making a new hitch part number at all costs if they can have one hitch fit several vehicles.
